Ichthys Infield Flowline FEED

Ichthys Infield Flowline FEED – INPEX (NW Shelf, Australia)

MSi Kenny is involved in the FEED stage flow assurance and prior to that in the post-pre-FEED stage of the Ichthys project. The Ichthys development consists of the Plover and Brewster reservoirs producing through a complex subsea network to potentially the world’s largest semi-submersible production unit. Among the issues with the Ichthys development include relatively high wax appearance temperature, host limitations on arrival temperature, high water rates, and large MEG requirements. MSi Kenny has carried out the thermal/hydraulic analysis of the complicated subsea network, consisting of multiple, looped tiebacks. Study work was carried out over multiple phases to provide input into concept selection, subsea configuration, reservoir production forecast, and operating procedures for various potential operational scenarios.
