Virtuoso®/ES is composed of a simulation engine capable of performing transient modelling of integrated subsea, topsides and onshore facilities and controls, along with a customizable graphical user interface (GUI). This basic package can be used for engineering studies from front-end engineering through the operating phase of a project. Typical uses include building and validating startup, shutdown, and other operating procedures, validation of control schemes, controller tuning, and performing offline what-if analysis.
The simulation engine includes a comprehensive set of transient models of upstream production and processing equipment including wells, production trees, manifolds, multiphase pipelines, separators, compressors, tanks, and pumps.
Virtuoso/ES has the ability to replicate complete control programming including subsea control (MCS), process control (PCS), and specialized control applications (i.e. anti-surge, load sharing, etc).
The user interface for Virtuoso/ES provides user-friendly, integrated, drag-and-drop trending, user-savable plot collections, scenario and condition save and reload functionalities, and a host of other features tailor-made for engineering analysis.
Woodside Pluto - Australia
The Pluto LNG project comprises an offshore platform connected to five subsea wells on the Pluto gas field along with a transmission line to shore. Pluto is expected to expand to five LNG trains.
Features
EKB Viking - Europe
The Viking facility will be used as an underground gas storage facility with six underground salt caverns for storing
natural gas and two field lines to move
gas from the caverns to the processing
facilities.
Features
Shell Perdido - Gulf of Mexico
Perdido is the world’s deepest direct vertical access spar that acts as a hub and enables development of three fields.
